Well I just dont come here for the art despite being a graphc artist, I am actually far more literary by nature, I enjoy sometimes just reading the blogs, journals and rants of people who live on the other side of the globe, for me its just that simple, a different perspective down to the different slang etc. Even something so much as the people who you watch on dA if any says a little if any about maybe what your tastes are.
I was born, bred and live in the Bronx, New York. I did a bit of traveling with my father when I was young to europe as well as during a stint in the Navy. I have always been enamored with how the other side lives and until I can get a chance to do some more traveling I just put an ear to what people have to say across the world. That's about the best way I can put it.
Hope that sums it up, and even if you don't post much any more, your older stuff will exist and still offers a frame of reference.

My mind races from time to time on the events of the world, how I am judged in the world, because of my nationality, and how that nationality is uttered as an insult rather than an affirmation of identity. My countrymen and women live in both splendid fear and frightening ignorance. I am surrounded by the ideals of communism, imperialism, and the true search for freedom of speech and capitalism. I have no identity here unless I betray everything I am and believe. One day my country will rise from the ashes and be a great country. A country that will one day cater to the sick, tired and downtrodden of the land, while seeking solutions to join the free world as a legitimate superpower once again. I find it hard to love my nation at times, but this is where I was born and where I am technically and legally bound to represent in times of aggression, should the powers that be need to fill the front lines with draft fodder. The times I find love in my nation are when elections come, the air is filled with such optomism, but alas these will to come to pass, such as the promises of those elected to protect and rule us.
